This group project includes:

  • Enhances student engagement
  • Creates creative thinking design
  • Creates an open and safe environment for ideas.
  • Has a judgement free zone for ideas.
  • Ideas are collected by producer or designated member.

Decision Making

This role includes:

  • Each idea from the students are discussed and evaluated for things such as:
    • plausibility​
    • adherence to the objectives
    • audience appeal
  • Once ideas are decided, the producer should met with the instructor for:
    • feedback​
    • approval to proceed
    • formative assessment

The teacher’s role throughout the day is to manage the creative and design thinking for the groups of students. Start discussions, open the floor to creative thoughts, provide instruction. This would include creating:

Creative Thinking activities

  • chose one of each group to take notes during judgment-free group thinking discussion
  • Develop new ideas within a timeframe
  • Creative thinking is more focused than brainstorming.

Design Thinking activities

  • students chose an audience and interview fellow students about their interests.
  • revisit limitations of video production.
